rex is benched!

rex grossman will be escorted to his reserved spot on the bench this weekend when the bears head to detroit. although i'm not sure how much help griese will be as a back up, it's worth a shot because rex should have been benched last year prior to the superbowl. it's unfortunate to see one of the top defenses suffer because the offense couldn't get anything together other than take a few sacks and handing out interceptions. i hate to see the bears 1-2 so early in the season. i hope benching rex will turn this team around.

two blogs, are you crazy?

i can't get enough bloggin'. i never understood how anyone could manage 2 blogs. we'll see if this works. i can't let go of my "inmyflops" blog. that's my domain, that i will focus most of my energy on. but i thought i'd make this blog for all things cubs. i know my readers on my main site are an eclectic bunch, most of whom could probably care less about sports, much less one team over and over. so, with that being said...this blog will probably be focused on my three favorite teams (cubs, bears, illini).
